Disgust at the Moderate CCBB Republicans

As the week continues, more stories keep coming out about how dumb Sarah Palin supposedly is. Frankly, I'm disgusted by this nonsense. It's asinine upon it's face, and demonstrates that the CCBB Moderates are even closer to the slime tossing Democrats than we had previously suspected.

From Rush Limbaugh's website, I get this transcript of a report by Fox Reporter Carl Cameron.

CAMERON:  Early on, they began to discover that there were these gaps in her knowledge.  I just want to rattle off a couple of the things that insiders say she just simply didn't know.  There were real problems with basic civics, government structures; municipal state and federal government responsibilities.  She didn't know the nations involved in the North American Free Trade Agreement, we're told.  She didn't understand, McCain aides told me today, that Africa was a continent and not a country, and actually asked them -- they argue, they say -- if South Africa wasn't just part of the country as opposed to a country in the continent.  They go on to say that she didn't understand the idea of American exceptionalism, a classic principle of Wilsonian doctrine that says that the United States is exceptional in the world and has therefore a very special role in leading the globe.
Now why Carl Cameron didn't look at his secret source and go. "You know, Sarah has been in Municipal and State Government. She's been the one who has worked in those levels of Government. I think she's liable to know the responsibility that she had as a City Councilman, a Mayor, and a Governor. I also don't think that the people in Alaska are so stupid that they would elect a drooling idiot to those offices."

Yet, Carl Cameron, who has demonstrated that he is a moron in his own right, never bothered to ask even this most obvious questions. Instead of seeing this for what it was, he promptly ran with it like he'd managed to get the scoop of the century.

Now look, let's be honest. Ten minutes after Sarah Palin was named as the Vice President, the DNC, and every newspaper tabloid in the world were en-route to Alaska with fists full of hundred dollar bills, digging through every courthouse in the state to find something, any dirt they could. They came up as empty as an Obama promise to be bi-partisan.

The rest of the assertions are equally asinine. I've already addressed most of them.

Instead, I'm going to link to other supporters of Sarah Palin, and the actions they're taking. Team Sarah is the obvious first stop.

Michelle Malkin is another excellent source of information. Her weekly column is posted here.

The link to Michelle's website takes you to a page where she encourages you to sign a petition to show your appreciation for, and support of Sarah Palin. I'm one of the ten thousand people who've signed this, and I'll invite you to sign here.

Finally, this link takes you to a page a local Alaska Radio show has up. They interviewed Governor Palin Thursday Morning. Please take a few minutes and listen to it.

You can also write Fox News and object to them allowing themselves to be the instrument of baseless character assassinations. yourcomments@foxnews.com

Thoughts on the McCain/Palin relationship

I've been thinking about the McCain camp's vetting of Sarah Palin, and the recent backstabbing of her by the same said camp. I believe I've satisfied my own curiosity regarding this.

I refuse to believe that the Vetting team did not read the book I highlighted, Sarah, her biography. I refuse to believe that they didn't take a handful of hours, probably on the flight to see her, or in leaving, to read the book. I refuse to believe that they were utterly ignorant of her demonstrated character. Thus anyone who's read any of the news articles, or biographical information, which speaks highly of her integrity, and determination to do what she honestly believes is right, would be so asinine to think she would change.

However, the McCain team was from inside the Beltway. Where Republicans who ran as hard core rock ribbed Conservatives, are moderated by the determined forces there. Where the Washington Waltz is the game that everyone plays.

A local Congressman is Representative Jack Kingston. Who has rapidly become the king of earmarks in Georgia. He shakes loose a great deal of money for local projects, which the Federal Government would do well to remain clear of. This Republican is considered a Conservative, despite the growing history of his shaking loose a ton of money for pet projects in the state.

Now, it's obviously not compatible to have a Conservative principal of smaller, more efficient Government, and handing out tons of earmark legislation. This is what I'm talking about with the Washington Mentality. This is why we had to work so hard to stop the Illegal Amnesty plan of Washington. We literally had to send bricks to Congress to get our point across to the elected officials there.

Now why would the Team McCain folks think that Sarah Palin would change and be a Stepford Wife kind of Politician? That's the way the game is played to the CCBB Republicans. The true Conservatives don't think that way, which is why I wonder how many true Conservatives we really have in Congress.

I think Sarah Palin really surprised them. She showed tremendous conservative values, which she has obviously taken to her own heart, and exercised in her life. Accustomed to dealing with phony Conservatives in Washington, like Chris Shays, the McCain Team seriously misjudged Governor Palin, and failed to really understand who she was. They were really upset when they found out she was more popular with the base than the original "Maverick" and the donations started to flood in.

Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, and a host of other young, fresh, and passionate Conservatives are coming up. The Country Club Blue Bloods are scared, because if this takes hold, there will be no place for them in the Republican Party. The CCBB's are really scared about one thing. Actually having to explain why they're more easily associated regarding issues to the Democrats, than their own party the Republicans.

When I was in the 82nd Airborne Division. We had a motto for young soldiers who were joining us. Here, you can lead, follow, or get out of the way.

Senator McCain. You've tried to lead, and led us down the path of defeat. You've rarely tried to follow, grudgingly accepting that we didn't want Amnesty. Now, it's time for you to get out of the way, and let the next generation of Conservatives up and at them. They grew up during, and after the Reagan era. They believe in their hearts, and souls, that American exceptionalism isn't something genetic, it's faith in the individual, to see after their own success and failure.

They believe in hard work, and education. The same keys that have allowed tens of thousands of Generations to succeed through history.

They believe that conservative values are moral and they know what you and the rest of the CCBB Republicans don't. Americans are Conservative by nature. It's demonstrated every time we have a Conservative issue on the ballot, almost without fail. It's time to embrace those conservative ideals, and your litmus test should be the NY Times. Any time the NY Times approves of your ideals or plans. You are doing the wrong thing as far as the American Public is concerned.

The idea that you could corrupt Sarah Palin so quickly, and easily, is one you should have rejected right off the bat. She's grounded, and her family, and her faith keep her grounded. She's aware of who she is, and what she's going to do.

The future lies with the next generation Senator McCain and the rest of the CCBB's. The future, is upon us now. I and a majority of Americans, including even California, say no to Moderation, and yes to Conservative principals.

When Moderates Attack.

The CCBB (Country Club Blue Blood) or Moderate Republicans are hopping mad. They can't believe that reaching towards the left didn't work, and they don't have the guts to be Conservatives, so they're blaming Palin for the loss. Friends, this is absolutely infuriating and laughable at the same time.

Now, here's what we're supposed to believe according to the Country Club Blue Blood Moderate Republicans. Sarah Palin is so stupid that she didn't know that Africa is a continent.

And scandal of scandals, She answered her hotel room door having just gotten out of the shower wearing a bathrobe.

Here is what this is all about. The McCain camp made a huge miscalculation when they vetted Palin. Anyone who's read her biographical book Sarah, or looked at her history even in passing, knows she's not going to be a loyal troop and sit down and shut up when told to by the Party Bosses.

In the book Sarah, we're shown what kind of person she is, and what kind of independant Integrity Sarah Palin has. Chapter Six, pages 75 to 84 clearly show she doesn't just sit down and shut up when she's told to. If anything, the McCain camp loved this aspect, so long as she did what they told her to.

They should have known better. McCain hasn't ever done what the Party wanted. Nor has he done what the Republican Base wanted. He touted Palin as another Maverick. No, she is a Principled Conservative. There is a difference Senator.

Michelle Malkin, and other websites are all over this, tearing the Moderate Republicans to shreds.

Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didn’t agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in  practice  than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.
Bravo Michelle. I'd like to take this discussion a bit farther.

Liberal Republican Chris Shays as been voted out of the House of Representatives. This means that there are literally no Republicans representing the New England area in Congress. Not one. Why did Shay's get voted out? He had the right stands on all the issues. He had the right views for the Liberals. The reason, they hate Republicans period Chris. You can't agree to the Liberal Agenda Items that they have Chris, they hate you in the morning, after they get your vote of course.

The CCBB Republicans are fighting back, and using the language of the Left to do it. All Conservatives are stupid. What is really funny to me is this. The McCain camp vetted the Governor, and yet now they're trying to tell us that she's so stupid that you practically have to wipe the drool from her chin every couple minutes. Perhaps the McCain camp can explain how she managed to pass the Vetting? Oh that's right. She's a brilliant individual.

I'm not disappointed in the McCain Camp. They're reverting to what they have always done best, attack Republicans and try to get some kindness out of the Liberals.

I am disappointed in Fox News, because they should name these sources that are smearing the Governor. Fair and Balanced doesn't mean you are the tool for whiney maggots to use to bludgeon someone. Join me in demanding that they name the people who are passing these smears off.

No, this is the standard McCain play. Attack the Conservative Republicans. It's part of the reason the NY Times loved him once, and will probably love him again. They love it when Moderate/Liberal Republicans attack the Conservatives.

Team Sarah and the wink ad.

Team Obama, when they aren't throwing reporters who fail the Party Loyalty Test, put out an Ad on Sarah Palin revolving around the wink. ABC's News Blog has the story, and I'd avoided it until now, for a simple reason. It was a stupid ad, and it was at the very least, showed once again the poor judgement of Team Obama. With so many other fine examples of the lies, and otherwise bad judgement of Team Obama, I let this one slide on by.

It's not that I think the ad isn't perhaps somewhat sexist. It's that I have only so many hours in a day, and many responsibilities, like most of you, and I just can't say everything I would want to most days. So I pick the stories that grab my attention the most, and let other often more worthy of comment stories slide on by.

The ABC link above has quotes, one from a President of the NOW chapter in Los Angeles. about how horribly sexist Obama has been towards the women campaigning against him. Yeah, we know. He was sexist to Hillary, and remains sexist. That's probably part of the reason I didn't mention this before. It's sort of like reporting that a Drunk is still drinking. Or the running joke from the first year of Saturday Night Live, General Francisco Franco is still dead.

So I let that story slide by, but thankfully, Team Sarah did not. Team Sarah, well, they managed to put something together. They tie in Ayers, Rev. Wright, and Khalidi. Well done Team Sarah. Kudo's to you.

Nice one Team Sarah, keep up the good work.

Regarding my vote for McCain

A comment to my original post, highlighted the argument put forth by Michael Medved regarding an Obama win being good for conservatives.

My opinion is that we need a true Conservative Revolution, like we had under Ronald Reagan. We need to stop pretending to care about certain issues, and stop bemoaning the status quo, and actually do something about it.

Too many Republicans get to congress and are sucked into the life of the powerful, and wish to be popular there. They forget that they're conservatives, and they become Democrat lite. This is what happened to McCain, if he ever really was a Conservative.

Many Conservatives believe we need to overhaul the tax system in general. It's become so large and contradictory that no one, not even the IRS can possibly know everything about it.

According to the US Government Printing Office, it's 13,458 pages in total. The full text of Title 26 of the United States Code (the part written by Congress--available for an additional $179) is a mere 3,387 printed pages, bringing the adjusted gross page count to 16,845.

No one can possibly know what is in those twenty volumes of books. Think about this, the Tax Code is larger than an Encyclopedia, for those of us old enough to remember when that was in books, instead of online. It's huge. It's specifically set up and designed to screw the middle class and the poor. I know, you doubt my assertion.

OK, then let's consider this for a moment. When some rich guy gets audited, what happens? The rich guy if he shows up in person, has a squad of lawyers, and another squad of accountants, probably former IRS employees, who argue each point of law with the auditors. They know the system well enough to know how to defend the rich guy.

When a middle class, or poor person gets audited what happens? They show up with shoe box full of receipts praying they don't get screwed too hard.

The IRS is even willing to show up at the Rich Guy's house, or law office, and happily discuss the issue, knowing that he's facing the wall of legal talent, he won't be able to fudge something. The middle class guy shows up at the IRS office, and again, just prays that he's not getting screwed too badly.

So the Tax Code argument is valid from Mr. Medved, but it's not really all that valid. The Conservatives refused to Govern as Conservatives when they had the power. They refused to act like winners, and we didn't get real change to the tax code. We could have had a flat tax, which is you deduct the poverty line amount, and pay a flat rate on everything else, say, 17%. But we don't do that, because then the special people would be paying about what they are now, and the poor folks would be paying little, if any, like they are now. However, accountants around the nation would be unemployed wouldn't they? I guess that would be bad, sort of.

So the tax argument is lame, since even if McCain is elected, and if we had a Massive Majority of Republicans, they wouldn't change the system.

Mr. Medved then claims that Ronald Reagan would have been elected in 1980, even if we'd never had a Jimmy Carter. I beg to differ. In 1976, Reagan's message was pretty much the same, and the party selected President Ford for re-election, despite essentially splitting the votes with Reagan. The Republican Party wasn't ready to embrace Conservative ideals yet.

Let's say instead of Carter, we had a Truman type of Democrat elected in 1976. Then Reagan would not have been elected in 1980, because Truman, JFK, and other Democrats were very smart, and Conservative towards fiscal policy. It was the economy that got President Carter's administration destroyed. I admire him for his actions regarding the Three Mile Island incident. Instead of staying away, for safety, he showed up to tour it first hand and understand it personally. That took courage, and I admire that. I can even to a certain extent give him credit for his foreign peace proposals being born of a sincere desire for peaceful relations. I don't admire his handling of the Shaw of Iran, but that's another story.

The point is that had it been a more Conservative Democrat, the result in 1980 probably would have been very different. Instead, we had a Liberal/Socialist Democrat who badly mismanaged the economy, refusing to consider tax cuts as a way to stimulate growth. Refusing to consider the world economy in his mishandling of Iran.

In the end, his legacy as President, is a Disaster. It set up the Reagan Revolution, because Ronald Reagan understood how lower taxes would stimulate the economy. He understood how the desire of normal Americans to work, earn a good living, and provide a better life for their children, would drive the country forward. It's a shame his Vice President didn't understand that as clearly as he did, but that's another discussion as well.

The assertion that Reagan would have been elected no matter who was President, is obviously false on it's face. If President's are perceived as failures, then they are one term Presidents. Carter and GHW Bush are both examples from my lifetime. One was a Democrat, one was a Republican. Bush lost on his broken promise, no new taxes. Carter lost on the economy and the Hostage Crisis in Iran. Truman or Kennedy would not have had those two events dragging on as long as they were. Kennedy would have lowered taxes, to stimulate growth. Kennedy would have seen the Hostages Rescued, or would have seen to the release of the hostages through strong diplomacy, as in Cuban Missile Crisis?

No, Reagan wasn't guaranteed the Presidency in 1980. He was the right man, at the right time. He demonstrated a clear and easily definable difference between himself and President Carter.

Mr. Medved then claims that if Palin loses as John McCain's running mate, she has no future in Politics at the national level. He uses as his example, John Edwards, and Joe Lieberman.

Neither of these two people had the following before they were defeated Vice Presidential Nominees. They were safe choices for the ticket head. Gore and Kerry. Mostly chosen for thei hope that they could cover up or shore up the nominee's problem areas, Edwards for a solidified chance at North Carolina and the southern states. Gore already having been denounced and rejected by his own state. Liberman to give moral authority as the "Conscience of the Senate." to Kerry's pandering politics. Lieberman's moral authority put him at odds with the Democratic Party Base regarding the War in Iraq, and the wider War on Terror. So much so that the Democratic Party base, the Nutroots, ran a strong campaign to get him off the ticket as a Democrat in his run for the Senate. That's why by the way, Lieberman is an Independent now. The KosKids destroyed him in the Democratic Primary.

Nixon was a Vice President, and lost his first election. He's one of the rare examples of someone coming back after a national loss, and winning the White House.

Palin's career doesn't hinge on this one election. She could and I believe will come back stronger in 2012 if Obama wins next week. I've already started a savings account, specifically intended to give Sarah Palin the maximum donation the day she announces her run for the White House. After all, she lost her first race for the Governor's job in Alaska. After the election, the people realized they made a mistake, and regretted not choosing her. She won the next election, which goes to show you that she's tough, and determined.

Mr. Medved claims that after a defeat, the party moves to the Center, so the Country Club Blue Blood Republicans would be stronger than before. No sir, they wouldn't. After Gore's defeat in 2000, the Democrats went harder left. After John Kerry's defeat in 2004, they went extreme left. After Ford's defeat in 1976, the Republicans went to the Right. After GHWB's defeat in 1992, the Republicans took control of the House and the Senate by going Right, not by becoming Centrist. That's an asinine argument Mr. Medved, and I reject it out of hand.

McCain is a Centrist, a Moderate. That's why the base of the party, people like myself, don't like him. This is why Conservatives like myself were planning on sitting the election out. After the Nomination was secured, McCain was polling so badly, that we wondered if it would be a thirty state landslide for Obama. Then he brought out Palin, and secured the Conservative support. Donations flowed, grass roots organizing got started almost overnight. The Conservatives such as myself, still don't like, or trust McCain, we like, and trust Palin. If it was McCain and Huckabee on the ticket, I wouldn't vote for them. If it was McCain and Lieberman, same result. It's Palin that has energized the base.

Before he picked her, his rallies looked like a wake. After he picked her, the crowds are energized, and huge.

You can't claim that the Democrats are more centrist now, than they were under Clinton. You can't possibly believe that. You can't pretend that the Republicans moved the the center after the defeat of Bush and Dole. It was Conservative ideals passionately described and passionately acted upon that energized the base this year Mr. Medved.

If this election has demonstrated anything to be true, it's that the era of the Country Club Blue Blood Republican, is a fact that should remain in history, not in our futures.

Sarah Palin, a lightning rod for Liberal Hatred

Friends, I thought I had dealt with the Sarah Palin issues previously, and so I assumed I wouldn't need to be blogging about it again. I guess that would be classified as Wishful Thinking. The Nutroots have accused her of nearly everything under the sun in the last week. So far, about the only thing she hasn't been accused of is being a Liberal Vegan who hates Bush. The link above shows at current count, 43 rumors that are either absolutely untrue, or are taken out of context and or mis stated.

Now, guys, let's be real for a moment. Executive Experience means you're the person in charge. The Buck Stops here made famous by Harry Truman? Perhaps you've heard of it? It means that there isn't anyone you can go to with the problem, you have to make the decision, and face the consequences of that decision, good or bad.

Let's take a look at bad decision making. Governor Blanco didn't call out the National Guard, and put them in charge of New Orleans, not because there weren't any around, but because she was afraid it would increase the state's liability. That is Management. Where you decide things in committee and get consensus. It takes time, and as shown during Katrina, is a bad way to do business. The mess finally started to get sorted out, and we later learned it was never as bad as we were led to believe, when the National Guard, and General Honre' arrived and took charge. The Patton and John Wayne comparisons were thick in the press, and I saw a Leader, a Commander, take charge of the situation.

Management means you reach consensus, and everyone agrees, or at least a majority agree. The Senate would be a good example of management. They debate, deliberate, and no one person makes the decision, which is why it's called the Legislative Branch in the Constitution.

By comparison, the Constitution lists the President under the Executive Branch, because he or she is the one who makes the decision. He or she is the one who is most responsible for this decision. Executive is where you don't have other to blame inaction on, you have only yourself.

Senator Obama hasn't held Executive Experience, and running a campaign is not similar to being President. Now, I've just said that being a Senator isn't experience for being a President, and I've told the truth. That goes for John McCain too.

Liberals, here's a secret. You don't understand how a Conservative's mind works, so stop trying to pretend you're just asking the questions we would be asking. We would be asking why Obama is friends with William Ayers. We would be asking about his relationship with Rezco. We have been asking, but you didn't seem to care about what we would ask then. Now that a Woman who is Conservative is running for Vice President, now all of a sudden, you're claiming to ask question we would be asking.

No, you're carrying the water of the Nutroots. You're pretending that Sarah Palin is the wrong woman to represent American Woman. Another woman would be preferred you claim, you quickly name Senator Hutchinson, or Senator Snowe.

Would this be the same Senator Snowe who votes with the Democrats, especially on many issues favored by John McCain? The same Senator Snowe who voted to provide amnesty to the Illegal's? The one who spoke against the war in Iraq? Oh sure, that woman is qualified, she loves Liberal policies, and thus is extremely qualified.

As for Kay Baily Hutchinson. She rates an 84 from the ACU which I'm sure the Liberals know is what John McCain got in the first years after the election in 2000. It's interesting that Liberal Women are always qualified, which is the same we hear about Liberal Men.

I have a question Libs, why is it you assume we only look at the surface of things? Do you think that everyone is as shallow as you are? Do you really think that everyone is as self centered as you apparently are?

Hillary Clinton had never held elected office before running for the Senate, and was considered qualified by the press. Why is it that Sarah Palin who has held elected offices for many years, is unqualfied? The answer is obvious. Hillary believed in things that the reporters who have empowered themselves to decide these things also believed in.

Having donated to both Hillary Clinton's campaign, and to Barack Obama's campaign, and not donated to the Republicans, or to McCain, because of my extreme distaste for him, I'll repeat something I said on Hot Air at the time. McCain won the election by picking Palin. Not because she's a woman, I don't care about that. Not because she's a hunter, but because she's an outsider. She's an outsider who can really understand the problems, the trials and trevails of the average citizens life, because she's one of us. I assumed that McCain would pick Lieberman, or someone else who is an old and trusted friend. Instead he went for a new friend, and I believe that McCain has a certain esteem and respect for Sarah Palin, who is the Governor of Alaska. That brings up another question Libs, what is this sudden willingness to demean the woman by forgetting her current job? Why do you insist on calling her the Mayor when she's the Governor? She has been Governor as long as Obama has been Senator right?

Libs, you don't understand Conservatives, because you don't want to. We really do see the person instead of the subgroup. We don't see her as a boon because we think she'll pick up the mothers who hunt moose demographic. That is a small demographic, which doesn't really have a lot of power. We like her because she's genuine, and unlike the scripted presentations from the Democrats, she's believable.

Will I vote for McCain? I doubt it, I still don't like him. Perhaps I could vote for Palin, but I'd have to have something to block his name so I didn't see it.

An Open Letter to Bristol Palin

Ms. Bristol Palin,

You don't know me, and I don't know you. I've never met your parents, nor anyone in your family. I've never been to Alaska, and I will probably never see it's beauty except in photographs and on television. I'm just a conservative guy who has only heard of you, and your pregnancy this last weekend and today. I don't think of you as any of the four or five letter words which have been bandied about. I think you're a girl, who has become a Woman, perhaps sooner than we would like, or prefer, but that isn't our choice, it's the Creator's.

Instead, I'd like to tell you that in a way, I admire your courage, and your judgment. Yes, your judgment. I understand you intend to marry the father, whom you love. That indicates that your judgment was sufficient in choosing someone with whom you are more than infatuated with, instead you followed your heart, which is a common activity for the young, and far too rare for those of us who are older. I won't question your wisdom, nor your choices to date, but instead, I would like to offer you best wishes, and hopes for a painless process of bringing this life into the world. You young woman, are the closest thing to God on earth. Only women, can create life, while we men are unable to do more than provide a vital component.

However, I would like to offer this observation. There is more to being a Mother than carrying the child within you. I'm certain you know that, because you have parents who seem to care for you deeply. I'm sure you know how much work is ahead of you, as you're the oldest daughter, and have certainly helped with your younger siblings. I've seen photos of you holding Trig, and I hope your child learns the lessons you obviously have. The lessons of faith, love, and responsibility. I am assuming much of this, admittedly I have no idea of the details, and yet, I suspect it's true, from what I've seen and heard, I'd be surprised if your family is all that different from the rest of us out here in the nation.

Others may seek to insult, demean, and belittle you. I would offer a quote from another intelligent and very special woman. "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt.

When those who don't know you, and don't know the path your feet follow offer insults and demeaning comments, ignore them. They are less than worthless in their opinions. Listen to those who love and care about you Bristol, for their advice, and assistance, is what makes family important. Robert Frost said "Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in." I believe in your parents, you have a home.

My ego won't let me believe that you'll never read this young Ms. Bristol Palin, however if anyone else does, and decides to cherish life, then my effort is rewarded.

May
God be between you and harm in all the empty places where you must walk. An ancient Egyptian blessing according to the TV show Babylon 5. Even if it isn't an old blessing from Egypt, it does convey the prayer I have for you.

Nutroots out in force with Palin Conspiracies

My friends on the left. Please don't forget to take your medication. It's important, and frankly, will save you embarrassment later. My mistake, the left is never embarrassed about their behavior. My Bad.

Today's conspiracy theory is a whopper. In April, Governor Palin gave Birth to a baby with Downs Syndrome. This birth defect is a fairly normal risk associated with older women giving birth. Our friends at the Democratic Underground, Daily Kos, and other sites which live for the conspiracy theory. As you can see the Mainstream media is picking up on the story, and running with it.

I've seen this before, when the liberals are outraged, nothing is beneith them. No slander is too outragous, no insult is off limits. Racisim is the norm when the Liberals are attacking a conservative. Sexism is completely acceptable, when the Liberals attack.

The conspiracy theory goes like this. Sarah Palin was pregnant at the same time that her daughter had Mono. Mono is also known as the Kissing disease, which means that we suspect that Bristol was a normal teenaged girl, and was kissing someone. Now that wouldn't be scandalous for anyone else, but give the Liberals a breath of normal air, and they'll run like the wind. According to the theories, Bristol was really the one pregnant, and Sarah faked being pregnant while Bristol was at home with Mono. Now, this is the best part, she did this to save herself the embarassment of having a pregnant daughter. Apparently it's the 1950's all over again, and we're supposed to send our daughters to a home for unwed mothers.

Guys, it's the 21st Century, and pregnant girls are pretty normal anymore. The American average linked above is something like 53 girls out of 1000 teenaged girls. So the scandal of having a pregant daughter would have been minimal. Easily handled. "Guys, my Daughter is pregant, and we're anxiously awaiting the delivery of my first Grandchild. I love my daughter, and will always stand behind her and support her. A loving parent can do no less."

Instead the fallout from the senario is outragous. If Sarah Palin did what she's accused of by the left wing hate machine. Then we're supposed to believe that Conservatives view the world as if it's not 1950, but 1850. Hello, let me explain something Libs. A vast majority of Conservatives understand that things happen. Sometimes, teenagers act irresponsibly, and we adults have a choice, we can act responsibly, and having lain a groundwork of love and trust and understanding as well as guidance, we can trust our children to tell us when they've made a mistake, and allow us to help them. I don't know the Governor, don't know too much about her. However, I think we can safely say that she is not a jackass of that proportion.

Liberals, you are sounding weak with your arguments this weekend. I understand the problem, you don't have talking points yet, so you're grasping at straws. Right now, the focus groups are working overtime, and hoping to find something that sticks. This isn't even a good attempt though guys, this is insulting, and this is absolutely asinine. It's the weakest attack you've come up with in a very long time.

If you believe in the ideals you profess to, then you've got to address the issues. The issue isn't her children, when they were born, if they were conceived before or after she was married. The issue is energy, why don't we have any? The issue is prosperity for the population, why do you think that can be acheived with higher taxes? The issue is fiscal responsiblity, which means you don't spend more than you get. The issues are plain, and obvious. The War in Iraq is going pretty good right now, so we don't hear about how awful it is anymore. Apparently the Focus Groups finally got through to the Libs that the war isn't a great issue to run on.

My friends, we're supposed to look beyond the color, the sex, the sexual preference, and the religious preference to find the real person inside. That is what Doctor King told us was his dream. That is what the Liberals profess to care about, yet when a Conservative actually does that, the Liberals immediatly go for the sterotypical responses and attack the race, gender, and religious preference.

Liberals, if you don't stop this implosion, you're going to lose this election, and we'll be stuck with President McCain.

Personally, so far from what I've heard, I like Sarah Palin, and if I didn't have to vote for McCain, I would happily support her. Unfortunately the catch is she's the running mate of the Anti-Conservative McCain, which means the pill remains too bitter to swallow.

Liberals, I'll leave this post at this. I hope you're back on your game after the weekend, because this is really embarrassing.

Update: Turns out the daughter is actually pregnant as well. She's five months pregnant, and unless you believe the due date is a lie as well, this weekends demonstration of nutroot conspiracy theory mongering was proof of one thing. They're aptly named as nutroots.
