Why don't Liberals ever care how much other things cost?

No cost is ever enough when we are talking about the Teachers Unions. No amount of money is ever enough, despite how little we get for the dollar. Our kids are dumber than we were/are. We are dumber than our Parents were/are. Each generation is getting dumber, lacking the real knowledge that is absolutely necessary. As an example, a customer of a friend of mine lives in Maine, and said she wasn't good with maps. The Customer said she didn't know if she lived east or west of some river (the Mississippi River) because she wasn't very good with maps.

I mention the dumbing down of our population as an example of wasted money, far more money over the years than the War on Terror in Iraq, yet no one is calling on people to shut it down. The reason I am annoyed is another Left Wing Loony Blogger is demanding we pull out of Iraq and one of the reasons is.... Money. It's too expensive, in lives, and in money, and we can't afford it. I have found it interesting that Liberals only mention cost when it comes to the Defensive or National Security issues.

Liberals play the hard headed Fiscal Conservative only in the matters of National Security. It's one of the big arguments against the Missile Defense Shield. One of the first arguments we hear is that a Missile Defense Shield wouldn't be 100% effective. On the bodies of Murder Victims, one of the things they police look for is Defensive Wounds, scratches, bruises, or other marks to indicate that the victim fought back for their life. Why would they fight? Isn't it painfully obvious that they are outmatched, and they can't possibly defend themselves against a determined attacker? Shouldn't they just stand there and be hit, battered, and yes Murdered? The truth is that people fight for life with every breath, and struggle to survive even if they are outmatched by a much larger, much more dangerous person. People raise their arms, and try to fend off the blows. They try to keep the attacker off of them. They try to defend themselves, even if it isn't 100% effective. It isn't useless, it's part of the survival instinct. To denounce this instinct as illogical or stupid is foolish beyond description. If the survival instinct was illogical, or stupid, it would have been weeded out by the Liberals other beloved ideal, Darwinian Evolution.

I also noticed other asinine arguments in the post from the far left wing loony mentioned above. Another argument put forth is that no faction in Iraq could win the civil war, so if we leave they would HAVE to reach a settlement. I don't understand that idea, and yes it's that asinine that it defies definition. Perhaps I will use it however the next time someone tells me that we HAVE to risk lives to end the fighting in Darfur. I bet the Liberal in question will brush that argument away without even more than a well deserved look that I am apparently stupid.

If the Liberals were capable of being intellectually honest, or even intellectually consistent, then most of these arguments would never be offered. However Liberals never understand what it is they are arguing, so ill advised half considered arguments aren't about to be rejected, to the contrary they are embraced by the foolish Liberals.

Let's consider the "It cost too much" argument. From the post in question. 1. The costs we have incurred to date in Iraq may be as high as $2 trillion. We cannot afford more.

How much has the Federal Government spent on Education? Has the situation improved? Shown any signs of improvement? If you answer no, as you must since the test scores continue to be low showing our nation to be doing poorly, then the obvious question is why do we continue to fund it?

How about the war on Poverty? Welfare, and other social programs have continued since the 1960's and we still have to fund it, more than two generations have passed, and we still need to fund it every year. Hasn't it reached a point where using the Liberals Fiscal Conservative Iraq argument that we must declare that we have lost, and cease funding? It's not getting better is it? Has it shown any signs of improvement? Are we close to an exit strategy?

How about any other program that the Liberals love? Embryonic Stem Cell research has rewarded us with exactly nothing. Yet, adult stem cells have already given us many treatments, so why are we so excited about Embryonic Stem Cells? Why not focus our research dollars on an area where promise has been rewarded?

While Liberals haven't yet mastered the principals of logical thought process, at least they are pretending to be thinking about topics, which is a step in the right direction.

I haven't been watching 24

As some people understand, I work a great deal, and don't bother to watch television much, if at all. Shows like Battlestar Galactica, the West Wing, and 24 which have a consistent and moving time line are ones I watch later via Netflix. I am about halfway done with the third season of 24. For the record that is important.

A friend at work, who records and watches the shows as soon as possible, asked if I thought it was possible that something like 24 was going on. Incredibly effective Secret Agents who save the day in a single handed manner like that. I answered a definitive no.

You see, I was in the Army once, what feels like a long time ago. Rambo isn't what the troops desire to be. They learn quickly enough that team work is the answer, a tightly knit unit which has trained and worked together for many months or years.

Jack Bauer the main Character of the show in real life would be serving six hundred life sentences after his first "bad day" season. On the off chance that he hadn't yet been convicted, or bankrupted by legal fee's trying to defend his actions that first year, he would be locked up forever after the second season. In real life, he would be charged with the Murder of his wife because the person who killed her was a woman he had an affair with. That is the way our Legal system works. The Prosecuters tend to go after the cops, instead of the crooks. In real life, if the officer arresting a shot suspect bumps the wound accidentally while securing the suspect, there are lawsuits, and criminal charges against the cop for violating the suspects civil rights. The ACLU would have an army of Lawyers and observers following Bauer around every day. He couldn't spit on the sidewalk without protests breaking out on College Campus' across the nation.
Do you doubt me? Explain the outrage of the left on Club Gitmo, the Guantanamo Bay Detention facility for terrorists, and undocumented combatants. These are people we captured on the battlefield, with weapons, who were killing our troops, or trying to, and we are accused of torture because we yell at the prisoner trying to get him to talk. We may even play loud music to annoy and wear down his patience. Granted, ten minutes of Brittney Spears and I would be willing to admit to taking the Lindbergh Baby. I am not sure that qualifies as torture though.

The point is simple however. We destroy our hero's. Those who go above and beyond the call of duty, determined to save lives of innocents, who are willing to get information from a kidnapper to find a stolen child. We punish those who are willing to do whatever it takes to win the day from the evil that comes for us all.

We see it all the time. We see it just about every day. The Liberals wouldn't rest until Jack Bauer and all his descendants were destroyed. The Terrorists aren't as relentless in attacking America as the Liberals are, the Terrorists don't have that kind of energy.

3000 is too many, according to the Liberals.

A milestone we have been waiting for, some with baited breath, some with dread. The Liberals already had their stories written, waiting for the moment when they could unleash the thought provoking we have lost pieces on the public.

War can make poets. But can war provide similar meaning to a number? What can now be derived from reaching the grim milestone of 3,000 American dead in Iraq?

Yes, when the news of this milestone broke, he was ready, with an obscure poet reference from World War I. Just happened to be on his desk right? Look man, I was born at night, just not last night.

The Iraq war is too expensive right? With the new milestone of 3000 dead, Michael Moore hopes you will do something about it. What does he hope you will do? Jump on his demented bandwagon towed by lies and declare the war lost.

Michael, since I know you are looking for a good movie plot to work on, how about the death statistics in this nation?

1 in 248 citizens died in 2006 from abortions. How did I get that? Easy, with 298,444,215 people in America, I divided that number with the number of Abortions in the nation. I used 1.2 Million Abortions, which is probably low.

An estimated 4,380 Americans were murdered by Illegal Aliens in 2005. Far more than we have lost in Iraq since 2003 when the invasion started.

An estimated 21,900 Americans have died in Automobile accidents with Illegal Immigrants.

There are some 42,000 automobile accident fatalities this last year.

AIDS is set to become the third leading killer, and we still won't treat it like a contagious disease.

It's a shame that the Liberals don't care about those groups. All much larger, and with a much larger impact from action. It's a crying shame that the Liberals are determined to keep innocent Americans at home in real danger from the Illegal Immigrants who continue to victimize all of us every day. It's a tragic situation that AIDS continues to spread in the population, because AIDS isn't treated like the Deadly Contagious Disease it is.

I would bemoan the loss of life to Abortions, but frankly, I hope that the Liberals continue to get abortions, and don't have children. As the Liberal Population continues to decline, in another generation, perhaps two, we will have a massive majority of Conservatives, and that will mean the death of Liberalism.

It's a shame that the Liberals don't demand a Darfur type of massive action to save the Iraqi's lives, but that would be too much to expect.

UPDATE: I made an error this morning, before I went to bed, I accidentally deleted a paragraph. I am going to re-create it below because it was supposed to be there anyway.

I for one wish that no service members were killed or wounded. However the requirement to place people in harms way is one which this nation has done more than once in our history. When we place troops in harms way, we have a moral obligation to make sure we support those troops, and the mission with our fullest ability. That means we confidently announce to the enemy that we will not surrender, we will destroy them. The war isn't over until there is one of three conditions. The enemy surrenders, the enemy is eliminated. the enemy's ability to make war is eliminated. With an all volunteer military, we owe it to those who join to support them and give them the freedom necessary to be victorious.

Iraq send two captured Iranian Military Commanders home

On Christmas day, I posted a story about how two Iranian Military officers, high ranking officers, were captured in Iraq during a sweep of suspected "insurgents" (you can call them that, it's fairly accurate, however TERRORIST is more accurate don't you think?) with plans and documents on them which were meant to aid terrorists in Iraq. These two officers have been further identified, and HOT Air is where I found this story.

One of the commanders, identified by officials simply as Chizari, was the third-highest-ranking official of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' al-Quds Brigade, the unit most active in aiding, arming and training groups outside Iran, including Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, U.S. officials said. The other commander was described as equally significant to Iran's support of foreign militaries but not as high-ranking.
American military forces nabbed the two men in raids last week. Their capture, U.S. officials said, represents the strongest evidence yet that Tehran's Shiite theocracy is meddling in Iraq's affairs and strengthening its relationship with the government in Baghdad.
U.S. defense officials familiar with the raids said the captured Iranians had detailed weapons lists, documents pertaining to shipments of weapons into Iraq, organizational charts, telephone records and maps, among other sensitive intelligence information. Officials were particularly concerned by the fact that the Iranians had information about importing modern, specially shaped explosive charges into Iraq, weapons that have been used in roadside bombs to target U.S. military armored vehicles.

Of course, the State Department types which recognizes Diplomatic Immunity to be sacrosanct, has decided that overall this is a good thing.

Despite their frustration at the release of the Iranians, U.S. officials said a strong message has been sent to Iran that its operatives will be tracked down and that it will be held accountable for its activities in Iraq.
"Iranians have been pushing the envelope in Iraq and elsewhere, and it's a good thing they learn there are consequences," a U.S. official said, on condition of anonymity.

Yes, apparently the consequences for assisting a Terrorist Organization is two people with diplomatic immunity are sent home. I bet the State Department even recommended a time out for the bad boys.

It is called being PNG'd, or Persona Non Grata. That is Diplomatic Speak, or Diplospeak, for Go Home NOW. Usually within 24 hours. As you can guess, being told to leave someone else's house isn't exactly a big punishment. I mean, being told to go home isn't exactly an insult is it? Of course, that is the Diplomatic manner in which the game is played. Of course, the Diplomatic Status is one of those things we demand be recognized, and it's been abused since it was first put into practice. Always has been, probably always will be abused by all the nations who use it.

Perhaps we can ask Ethiopia for help in Iraq

According to Hot Air which is quoting Bill Roggio of the Fourth Rail, Ethiopia has whipped the Taliban-esque ruling body in Somalia. The ruling body, the Islamic Courts Union, has resigned and now calls on loyal supporters to blend into the population, in an insurgency.

However Ethiopia isn't playing by the United Nations approved, NATO Standardized, US Government policy on how to fight a war to lose. It seems that they aren't giving much if any quarter to fighters. They are actually killing the enemy. Perhaps a study group from the War College can go and discuss the issue with them. It may be that Ethiopia has discovered a secret means of winning a war.

There should be no allowance for any cease-fire talks until the Islamists are well and truly crushed. Keep the UN and the Arab League as far from this fight as possible until it’s truly finished. The Ethiopians and the transitional Somali government forces, fighting together against the Islamists in spite of a history of war between Ethiopia and Somalia, should not make the same mistake Israel and the US have made in Lebanon and Iraq and Afghanistan. They should win the fight outright and dictate terms to the surviving Islamists. Foreign fighters should either be imprisoned and tried for their crimes or, well, imprisoned and tried for their crimes. Anything less, and the Islamists will go to ground and come back with an insurgency in a few months or a year.

Way to go Ethiopia, it's nice to see someone ignores the Liberals moaning and whining about how awful it is to win a war. I wonder how Bill Clinton feels knowing that his Administration's position was we couldn't win in Somalia, yet the Eithiopians seem to have the WILL TO WIN.

Unions and Liberals angry that the Army needs tires.

We support the troops, not the war is the battle cry of the far left wing loons. So now when they are stuck with supporting the war to support the troops, they back away quickly. Especially now that they are the party in charge in Washington, and the obstacle to supporting the troops, is the beloved Unions.

The Steelworkers union and Liberals are outraged that the Army needs tires from Goodyear, the only supplier of Military Grade Humvee tires, for the troops in Iraq. The Army is considering filing a request to implement Taft-Hartley to force the Goodyear employees to return to work for war essential material production.

Is it Fascism Yet? That is the question asked by the far left wing loons at Democratic Underground. I don't know, is it Fascism to expect that the troops get the material and supplies that they need? How long ago was it that the Liberals denounced the Bush Administration, and Donald Rumsfeld for not getting enough Armored Humvee's to the troops quickly enough? Now they denounce the Administration for trying to get tires for those same vehicles?

What is the sticking point that has led to this strike? The Union wants higher wages, more benefits, and oh yeah, guaranteed health care for the Retired workers. Goodyear says they can't afford all of that, they can't afford most of it, and the Union is sure they can. The last time the Steelworkers Union was sure the Company could afford it, the company went bankrupt, and closed up shop.

The Union voted against a 10% pay cut not once, but twice, and the Owners of Georgetown steel had no choice but to close the plant, and file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The union tried to call Georgetown Steel's bluff, and the plant was closed. Victory for the Union, they didn't take a pay cut, instead of a 10% pay cut, they got a 100% pay cut.

Goodyear has taken the measure of hiring replacement workers, often called "scabs" by Union employees who are refusing to work. Look Liberals, let's be consistent for a moment, is it a good economy, good enough to meet all the Union demands, or is it a terrible economy? If it is a bad economy, how do you expect the companies to fork over all the money they don't have to your unions? Oh wait, trying to get consistency from a liberal is like trying to get rational behavior from a cat strung out on catnip.
