The Haditha Investigation

The reason I haven't commented to date on Haditha is simple, I don't know what happened. I don't know and frankly, no one commenting really knows either.

The stories are fragmented and inconsistant, and appear to be constantly changing. At this time, I am comfortable letting the investigation go forward. For those lefties who are going to be outraged at my willingness to stand by and let the system work, the key word there is system WORK. The system does work, if it's slow in it's investigative method or manner, and doesn't give the results you want, tough. As we learned in the Abu Ghraib case, the system worked. The investigation had been going on for over four months, and was about ready to go to actual charges against those involved, when the Press went on a feeding frenzy. The system worked at any event where there are those who break the rules. The truth does come out, and the facts are established.

I say hold on, because unlike the Liberals, we like the Truth on the Conservative side, even when it stings. Wait for the truth to come out. When it does finally arrive, expect that it won't be nearly as bad as the Liberals would like us to believe now. That at least has been the case in the past.
