Call for action to President Bush.

I am calling on President Bush, and hope you will join with me, to pardon former Border Patrol Agents Jose Compean and Ignatio Ramos. As you may be aware, these men were tried and convicted for returning fire on a fleeing drug smuggling illegal alien. They testified that they saw a shiney object in the hand of the fleeing drug smuggling illegal alien. The Alien in question was given full immunity in return for his testimony against the police.We the people of the United States gave immunity to a drug smuggleing illegal alien to prosecute two border patrol agents? Are we next going to give immunity to terrorists to prosecute the soldiers who are going after them?

Border Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean spotted a suspicious van on U.S. soil near the U.S.-Mexico border.
The van was being driven by an illegal alien -- Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila -- who was smuggling 743 pounds of marijuana into the United States. When the illegal alien and drug smuggler saw Agents Ramos and Compean, he ran for the border. The agents heard gun shots while pursuing Davila on foot.
According to media reports, Davila at one point turned toward the pursuing agents and pointed what appeared to be a gun. The border agents fired their weapons at the fleeing illegal alien drug smuggler. Davila was hit in his buttocks -- although Compean and Ramos apparently did not know it at the time -- and Davila didn't even slow down. He jumped into a waiting van and sped off in the night.
